Raise and adjust your backdrop from the floor

The StandFree Single Backdrop System lets you raise, lower, and adjust your backdrop while keeping your feet on the floor.

The adjustable 12-foot Extension Rods give you the reach needed to position your backdrop crossbar overhead without routinely climbing a ladder. And because the system mounts from a compatible metal wall or upright poles, you don’t have traditional backdrop stand legs extending into your shooting area.

You get the function you need from a backdrop support system while reclaiming valuable floor space around your set. For a small photography studio setup, that extra floor space can give you more room for your client, lighting, posing, and the way you need to move while you photograph.

Choose the setup that works for your studio

The StandFree Single Backdrop System is available for both compatible metal wall and pole installations.

Metal Wall Setup

Vertical Inline Magnetic Bases attach to your compatible installed metal surface, creating the mounting points for the StandFree system.

The StandFree Extension Rod Holders connect to the magnetic bases and support the adjustable Extension Rods used to raise and lower your backdrop. For metal wall studios, this creates a magnetic backdrop system that keeps traditional backdrop stands off the floor.

The magnetic bases support up to 20 lbs each side when properly installed.

Pole Setup

The pole version uses TogDrop Pole Adapters to connect the StandFree system to compatible upright poles.

The StandFree Extension Rod Holders attach to the Pole Adapters, giving you the same ability to work with the adjustable Extension Rods from floor level. For studios using compatible auto poles, the pole option creates a backdrop system without requiring a permanent wall-mounted installation.

The pole setup supports up to 20 lbs each side when properly installed.

In a real session

You need to change the height of your backdrop for the next setup.

Instead of pulling out a ladder or moving a traditional backdrop stand, you use the StandFree Extension Rods to make the adjustment from the floor.

Your backdrop is repositioned, your floor stays more open, and you can move on to the next part of your session.
