Kicker Light Lighting Package-Vertical Movement

Lighting shouldn’t be limited by floor space—or by a fixed mounting position.

The TogDrop® Kicker Light Package gives you a dedicated wall-mounted lighting position with vertical movement, allowing you to reposition your light higher or lower along the metal wall strip without adding another light stand to your shooting area.

While it works especially well for kicker and edge lighting, the system isn’t limited to one lighting purpose. Use the vertical movement to position your light where your setup and subject need it.

Move your lighting position vertically

The Vertical Inline Magnetic Base attaches to a compatible vertical metal wall strip and can be repositioned up or down along the strip.

This gives you the ability to change the height of your lighting position while keeping the mounting point on the wall and traditional light stand legs off the floor.

The Light Body with Stem provides the mounting point for your light.

Together, they create an adjustable wall-mounted photography lighting system that gives you vertical positioning without taking up additional floor space.

More than a kicker light

A kicker light positioned to the side or slightly behind your subject can create edge light, separation, and dimension—which is where this package gets its name. You can also add lighting to your backdrop.

But that isn’t the only way you can use it.

Because the system gives you vertical movement, you can use the mounting position for a kicker, edge light, accent light, or another studio light that needs to be repositioned higher or lower.

How it fits into your setup

The Vertical Inline Magnetic Base attaches to a compatible vertical metal wall strip.

To change the height of your lighting position, release the magnetic base, move it up or down the strip, and secure it at the new position.

The Light Body with Stem provides the mounting point for your light.

This gives you a simple way to change the vertical position of your light while keeping the mounting system on the wall and your floor open.

In a real session

You’ve positioned your light as a kicker, but your next subject or setup needs that light higher. Think children versus adults.

Instead of moving a floor stand or finding another place for stand legs, reposition the Vertical Inline Magnetic Base along the metal wall strip.

And if the next setup calls for that light to serve a different purpose, you’re not limited to using it only as a kicker light.
