Ceiling Corner System

Need to create a backdrop corner but don’t have walls you can mount to—or room for traditional backdrop stands?

The TogDrop® Ceiling Mount Corner Backdrop System gives you a ceiling mounted backdrop system for creating a 90° two-backdrop corner while keeping your shooting area open.

Choose between Drop Ceiling and Drywall Ceiling mounting options based on your studio. Both give you dedicated overhead mounting points for your backdrop crossbars without requiring wall-mounted backdrop hardware or traditional floor stands.

Build your backdrop corner from the ceiling

By moving your backdrop mounting points overhead, the Ceiling Mount Corner Backdrop System keeps stand legs out of your shooting area and gives you more usable floor space for clients, posing, props, and lighting.

J-Hooks support your backdrop crossbars from above, while Corner Magnets help align the two backdrops where they meet to create your 90° corner.

The system can be used with cloth, paper, or canvas backdrops within the system’s weight limits.

Choose your ceiling type

Choose Drop Ceiling or Drywall Ceiling when ordering so you receive the correct mounting hardware for your installation.

Optional installation kits are available for Drywall Ceiling setups ONLY. Choose the installation kit for your ceiling type when ordering if you would like the additional materials and hardware needed for installation

Drop Ceiling

The Drop Ceiling option is designed for suspended ceiling grid installations.

Fixed Drop Ceiling Mounts attach to the compatible ceiling grid and create the overhead mounting points for your backdrop system.

J-Hooks support the backdrop crossbars, allowing the two backdrops to come together to create your corner.

This gives photographers a drop ceiling backdrop system without adding traditional backdrop stands to the studio floor.

Drywall Ceiling

The Drywall Ceiling option uses Fixed Magnetic Ceiling Mounts.

Securely install 12 to 14-gauge steel strips into the appropriate ceiling structure. These strips create the magnetic mounting surface required for the Fixed Magnetic Ceiling Mounts.

J-Hooks then provide the overhead support for your backdrop crossbars.

This creates a photography backdrop ceiling mount that keeps your backdrop support overhead instead of taking up floor space.

In a real session

You’ve created a corner for your session and need the floor around it available for your client, props, posing, and lighting.

Instead of positioning multiple traditional backdrop stands and working around their legs, your backdrop crossbars are supported from above.

Your corner stays overhead, your shooting area stays more open, and you have more freedom to work around your set.

For photographers trying to maximize photography studio space or create multiple sets in a small studio, moving the backdrop mounting points to the ceiling can open up floor space that would otherwise be occupied by stands.

INSTALLATION

Select Drop Ceiling or Drywall Ceiling before adding the system to your cart.

Drywall Ceiling:  Securely install 12 to 14-gauge metal steel strips to the appropriate ceiling structure. The strips create the magnetic mounting surface required for the included Fixed Magnetic Ceiling Mounts.

Because ceiling installations can vary, installation videos are provided for both options. Please review the installation instructions for your selected ceiling type for proper placement, mounting, and weight requirements.

Supports up to 20 lbs on each side when installed correctly.
